Astanga yoga offers a set sequence of movements that heat and cleanse the body, cultivate breath and body centeredness and enhance physical strength and mental focus leading to good health and well being. The class includes sun salutations, standing poses, balancing postures, seated forward-folds, twists, backbends and inversions.
A basic knowledge of posture is assumed. Not suitable for complete beginners.
