Polly Essex

Polly’s aim is to encourage good health, happiness and well-being for each of her clients. Her approach is holistic and she individualises each treatment according to her client’s needs. Her skill set, ethical conduct and intuitive caring nature enable her to offer an excellent quality of treatment.

Polly’s interest in healing and energy work began at a very early age when she developed the ability to sense people’s energy fields and detect imbalances and pain within their body. then wished to gain a deeper understanding of the psyche, and trained as an Art Psychotherapist at Goldsmiths University, London from 2003-2005, working within the NHS with adults, adolescents and children. Polly continues to work as an Art Psychotherapist at Blossom House School for children with special development needs, such as Autism and ADHD.

Although Polly believes that the psyche is an important area of focus in healing work, she felt she could offer more. She was drawn back to other approaches of healing involving her interests in energy and body work; in 2007 and 2008 she gained her ITEC Diploma qualifications in Holistic Massage and Reflexology, and began offering treatments in private practice. In 2009 she became a qualified Reiki Practitioner. She undertook her Reiki Training with James Philip, a renowned and sought after Reiki Master and Shamanic Healer who is an established resident teacher and healer at the Omega Holistic Institute, New York; Gurmukh’s Golden Bridge Yoga Studio, Los Angeles; and at Triyoga, London.

Polly believes strongly in ethical and professional conduct. She is a member of the Complementary Therapists Association and a State Registered Practitioner with the Health Professions Council.
