Acupuncture
Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture is an ancient science which works on the body’s energy systems to promote good health. Fine needles are used to stimulate certain points on the body’s meridians to bring about significant energy changes within the body and to clear any blockages which are creating a sense of ill health. Every patient is looked at individually during the consultation and treatment process, and physical and emotional symptoms are considered so as to make a full diagnosis. The practitioner will also look at the tongue and take the pulse on both hands to reach a diagnosis based on Chinese medicine, which will ensure that appropriate points are used and appropriate herbs prescribed. Chinese herbs are used in conjunction with acupuncture to aid and consolidate treatment and good health.
Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Acupuncture treatment for facial rejuvenation can be traced back two thousand years when it was documented in the Yellow Emperor’s ‘Inner Classic’. This states that the twelve major channels transporting ‘Qi’ and blood converge in the neck and continue up into the head and face. This means that when you receive a rejuvenation facial you are in fact rejuvenating your entire system. A balanced body is reflected in the beauty and ageing process of the face. Stimulating the ‘Qi’ generates new skin growth and improves circulation in the face. Minute needles are used to stimulate the numerous facial muscles, giving them a workout and leaving them tighter and more toned.
